The UK left the European Union at 11pm on 31st January 2020.
Between 1 February and 31 December 2020, there will be an implementation period.
In the meantime, we recommend all EU citizens living in the UK apply to the EU Settlement or pre-settled Scheme.
The deadline for applying to the scheme is 30 June 2021 and the application is free of charge.
For entrepreneurs who may import and export between the UK and the EU, from 1 January 2021, the way of trading with the EU will change and you will need to prepare for life outside the EU, including new customs arrangements.
If you do import and export between the UK and the EU, we recommend beginning your preparations now by applying for the UK Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number and preparing to make customs declarations.
